Picón route

O Picón route goes through the parish of Arca, in the middle of very interesting landmarks and beautiful landscapes. This route goes along the most emblematic places in the parish, surrounding the Pazo de O Picón (O Picón manor), the old town of A Rúa and the Astrar mills. This path goes across fantastic natural landscapes as the likes of the Pazo Picón, Santa Cristina's oak wood and Arca's geodetic survey, popularly known as "O Marco."
O Picón route is connected with the French Way of St. James, forming part of the "O Pino Paths Network" project, which aims to link all of them with other roads like the Way of St. James or the Via Romana XIX, making the route offer bigger and bringing attention to the main landmarks in the territory.
This route recovers those traditional roads which nowadays are abandoned and is also a clear example of how to recover natural spaces.
