Pena's watermill (Ponte Puñide)
B eautiful watermill nowadays working as a rural tourism complex. This mill house was a true factory dedicated to milling grain and sawing wood. During many years it provided a key service to the inhabitants of the territory, using River Mera's waterfalls as the motive power. The factory worked until the seventies although during its last years it was only used as a watermill. During those times the owners had built a sawmill with modern technology and supplied by electric power. Restoration works started in 1998 and ended in 2003, when the "Muíño de Pena" was open to the public as a rural tourism premise.
