The pedestal is decorated with a long inscription. The shaft and the spire are carved according to the neoclassical stylistic trends, highlighting the straight and geometric plans. The cross represents the baroque part of the masterpiece, where the Virgin of Mercy is sculpted with her dead son in her arms and the crucifix far apart from the cross.
